Pope Rejected "666" Donation from Argentina President, Mauricio Macri

Pope Francis has rejected a hefty charitable donation from Argentina's president Mauricio Macri - partially because the sum included the figure 666.
Earlier this month, the President made a donation of 16,666,000 Argentine pesos (£860,000) to Scholas Occurentes educational foundation, an organisation which is supported by the Pope.
According to the Vatican Insider – a publication specialising in information about the Vatican run by the Italian newspaper La Stampa – Francis wrote to the Argentinian branch of the foundation and requested they returned the money. The Pope apparently also had possible concerns about the donation's political overtones.

“I don’t like the 666,” he wrote in a postscript.
The article claimed, “The Pope's discomfort was difficult to hide and the reaction was almost immediate"

The number 666 is known as the “number of the beast” and some believe it can invoke the Antichrist.
The Pope and the centre-right President already have a tense relationship and hold different views on issues of social policy. The Pope does not support the austerity measures Macri has implemented to avert critical levels of inflation.
In February, a piece looking at Macri's trip to the Vatican was headlined as “Pope gives Macri a frosty 22 minutes.”

FALEKE'S REACTION TO TRIBUNAL JUDGEMENT

Tribunal Completely Out of Context With The Grounds of Our Petition - Falek
"Well, I will consult my lawyers. I can conveniently say to you here that we are going on appeal.
I have seen some of the verdicts of of the tribunal as relayed on the television. They gave a verdict that i don't have jurisdiction.
I found that very unbelievable that a court will give a verdict that a candidate who was duly nominated and had won election will be staid to lack jurisdiction in the same election.
The tribunal seemed to be completely out of context with the grounds of our petition. We have no problem whatsoever with the supplementary election.
Our ground unequivocally had been that the election was completed on the 21st November, 2015,and that we won landslide. That victory was for the people of Kogi state and nobody can take it away.
My people we re still on course, victory will be ours at the end. we will laugh last by God's grace. Let's keep the good work and continue to pray."
- Hon James Abiodun Faleke

Breaking: Tribunal dismisses Faleke’s petition against Gov. Bello’s election

The Kogi State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal on Monday ruled that Hon. James Faleke has no locus stand to file any petition against the election of Yahaya Bello as Governor of Kogi State.
The Tribunal, therefore, dismissed Faleke’s petition against Bello.
Faleke, the running mate of the initial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Abubakar Audu, had gone to the Tribunal seeking his declaration as the valid candidate of the party for the election and his declaration as Governor.
Faleke said with the death of Audu on the day the results of the initial election was being announced, he should have stepped into the shoes of Audu.
